I was told to uninstall and install again the leap motion controller setup because of the \"It appears you have not installed any proprietary graphics driver from NVIDIA, AMD, or Intel. Please download and install the appropriate driver for your graphics hardware, then click Retry to continue installation. If you skip this step, the Leap Motion Orientation and Airspace applications may default to the built-in Windows driver and not run properly\" message but each time I re-install the error comes up again at the 20% of the installation. My GPU is GeForce GTS 450 and is up to date with the driver version 327.23.What can I do
Holy crap, thank you SOOOO much for referencing a rollback of the nVidia drivers. It is backwards to everything else I read, so I had thought it would be a moronic move. Turns out, it worked for me, too. I am so relieved. I had only recently decided to max out my RAM and get a video card (instead of using the choppy on-board video chip), and I got an nVidia GT610 2GB. I did all these upgrades specifically to speed along my video editing and make the playback run smoother. So, imagine my sheer panic when I finally bring up PrE 10 and the Preview Panel gives me ZERO video playback. Not for a new project, not for any old projects, not for media files on my computer, or imported from the camcorder. Bwaaaahhhhh--I felt like saying to the video gods, \"I'm so sorry for fussing about choppy, I take it back, I take it back!!!\" I had the same display problem FHS shared, with my desktop windows bleeding through that panel, and I got audio but no video...or just weird random stills from the video once in a while. I was using the nVidia updater, because I had read that they were really good about keeping up and playing well with Adobe, so I thought I had all the right moves. I even uninstalled PrE and then reinstalled it, to no avail, so I was totally desperate. Two days later, and a few dozen blood pressure points higher, and I finally found this thread. (why the heck was it so hard to find, I wonder) Anyway, thank you, thank you, and thank you, for taking the time to post here.
7) This is the critical step: download the update blocker utility from Microsoft here: -us/kb/3073930. Connect to the internet and (quickly) run the utility and block the NVidia drivers from installing. Once they get onto your system, they will reinstall themselves over any other driver, which is what happened to me. If this happens to you, run DDU (display driver uninstaller) to get rid of the 2015 driver once and for all, reinstall the right driver, and block the update again. These drivers DO NOT WORK and will result in corrupt graphics, even in XP/7/whatever. You can tell if you have them by looking in device manager and looking at the driver date for the 320M. The right drivers are from 2013, and the bad drivers are from 2015.
The latest Nvidia notebook/netbook display driver known as the Notebook GeForce Driver is compatible with both 32-bit and 64-bit editions of Microsoft Windows 7. Please note this Nvidia display driver release also supports Microsoft Windows Vista x86 / x64 operating systems.
Pieter Schaar of LaptopVideo2Go.com has patched the display INF file out of the original Nvidia GPU driver INF file. All you need to do is to download the right INF depending on your Windows architecture edition (i.e., 32 bit or 64 bit), copy it at the same folder your non-working Nvidia display driver had previously extracted (e.g., C:\\NVIDIA\\DisplayDriver\\version\\WinVista_Win7\\language\\Display.Driver) and run setup.exe just inside of its upper folder.
skydrive download works. i downloaded the .inf file, renamed it to nvwi.inf and place it into display.driver folder. this replaced another file there. However when i run the setup program it says something about unsupported video card something like that. at the moment i have the 190.40 drivers. i use a sony vaio vgn-sz71xn/c
Hello i have the sony vaio VGN-AR71M with nvidia 8400m GT i download the latest drivers from nvidia 341.92 x64bit windows 10 i upgrade my Sony to windows 10 and i change the inf file with the one provided by you i manage to start the install and on the installation about at 30% stops and say drivers failed any suggestion would be appreciated my device id is VEN_10DE&DEV_0426&SUBSYS_9016104D&REV_A1\\4&13007A16&0&0008
The display driver 197.16_notebook_winvista_win7_64bit_international_whql.exe and your modded inf nv_disp gave me a code 43 error on install for my NVIDIA GeForce4 420 Go 32M which BTW is the only one that completed the nvidia installation then upon reboot it claims to have recovered from a serious failure. So here are the HIDs:
