Hi Phil,The Kindle Edition of the Bible uses the same note and comment system as the print version (NABRE). So, those notes and comments are linked to the page being read. On the Kindle, when you click on the page to see the notes, those notes are also linked to the page. Because of the way Kindle works, the notes can't be linked to other pages and you have to scroll the page to see those notes. I am a fan of Scott's biblically-based Bible studies, both for adults and children. That's why I use the NABRE on my Kindle. But it doesn't matter which version of the NRSV you use, it's all text that can be easily read on your Kindle. Thanks,J.K. Holmanwww.jkhollman.com

Hello Phil,Thank you for your response. In my search, I've become aware that the NRSV-CE2d has notes and comments linked to the page being read. However, some of the pages that I'm reading have a blank page preceding them, and the notes are linked to this blank page. I'm just trying to determine if this is a result of the kindle version of the NRSV-CE2d, or if it's a result of the way NABRE is set up (same for NRSV-CE2d?)Thanks,Phil Sorrell

Hi Phil,I don't have a Kindle, so I can't help you with a direct answer. But I can tell you what I've seen with NABRE. If you click on a note, it opens the same web page that the note is linked to. If you click on another note, it opens the same web page that the previous note was linked to. The New Revised Standard Version - Catholic Edition (NRSV-CE2d) by the National Council of the Churches of Christ in the USA (NCCUS) was released in 2007. It is available in a paperback (NCCUS-PS3057) and a Kindle (NCCUS-KS3056) version. We (my wife and I) were introduced to the NRSV-CE2d by Scott Hahn, in his book The Simple Way of the Good Shepherd.

Scott Hahn does a great job of explaining the different editions of the NRSV and the benefits of this edition. The NRSV-CE2d is much more readable (to my thinking) than the NRSV (3rd edition), because it has the footnotes and full text of verses and verses.
